Aqua Terra Firma – Koena Art Institute : 2 -12 December 2021

INVITATION TO RAZIA MYERS SOLO EXHIBITION OPENING| 2 December, GALLERY |2021

Koena Art Institute NPC is delighted to present the grand opening exhibition of its latest exhibitor, the expressions of fine and contemporary artist, Razia Myers themed “Aqua Terra Firma”.

Showcasing pieces informed and inspired by the permanence of bedrock and the unbridled ocean, each combine in an abundance of tactile colour that celebrates God’s many gifts. All inspired by mother nature itself.

Razia Myers is a Visual Artist and Sculptor born in Johannesburg. She relocated to Cape Town in 2003.

At the end of 2015 she began to realise her purpose and studied under the tutelage of Paul Birchall an Art Teacher at Ruth Prowse School of Art and later with Jill Trappler who compares Art to a composition of musical notes. She quickly began moving her brush strokes from specific, figurative works to more general and expressive works. Her expression she says is rooted in her spiritual connection with God.

In 2016 she was awarded a Masterclass and Arts Residency Scholarship at the Jerusalem School of Arts in Italy. An intensive studio program for the highly motivated and gifted student under the tutelage of Israel Hershberg. She has recently included Sculpture and Photography into her Art Practice. Myers has participated in numerous group exhibitions as well as Solo exhibitions nationally.

It gives us pleasure to invite you to Razia Myers opening. The event will come to an end within 3 hours.
It is therefore requested that invitation from The Koena Art Institute may please be accepted to cover the event.
